Terms & Conditions
The terms on which we sell to you. Written to be readable — because you shouldn't need a lawyer to buy a hat.
These terms govern your use of silkandsterling.com and any purchase you make. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we email your order confirmation and a contract is formed at that point. We may decline an order — for example if an item is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred — and will refund any payment in full.
Prices are shown in your selected currency and include VAT where applicable. International prices include duties, so there is nothing to pay on arrival. Payment is taken at checkout through our secure providers.
Pricing errors
If we spot an obvious pricing error before dispatch, we'll contact you to confirm whether you'd like to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Delivery timings are estimates from dispatch and are set out on our Shipping page. Risk passes to you on delivery. We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control.
You may return most items within 30 days as described in our Returns Policy. Personalised and monogrammed pieces are made to order and cannot be returned unless faulty. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Our pieces are handmade from natural materials, so slight variations in colour, weave and finish are part of their character — not faults. Screen colours may differ slightly from the item itself.
All content on this site — imagery, text, designs and the Silk & Sterling name — is our property or licensed to us, and may not be reproduced without permission.
We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the price of the products you purchased.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
